Wekify company series
These are Wekify LLC commitments — the model any language lab inherits. A specific language’s community documents live on that lab’s site.
Wekify LLC · Manifesto
A language belongs to the people who speak it. It is carried in homes, songs, memory, and everyday speech. It deserves to exist in the digital age without being absorbed into a company brand.
Wekify exists to build tools so those people can create the content their languages need — and so the work around that can keep moving.
The company grew out of keeping one language alive online. That origin is not a demo. It is the reason the studio exists.
The lesson we keep is structural, not sentimental: do not let the company become the voice of a people. Give the language its own home.
We build platforms. Communities fill them. A tool that would be faster but would erase something worth keeping is not a win.
One company. Two domains. Language Work for language labs. Peacae for everything that is not a language project.
The domains run in parallel. Language work does not have to finish before the tools around it can exist.
A language community should not have to accept conditions that buy control of their language.
External partnerships are welcome only when they respect community sovereignty and come without the right to dictate documentation, standardization, or digital representation.
The company builds. The community owns the language. Funding, contribution, and governance should move toward that community, not away from it.
Wekify can be a technology partner. It cannot be the owner of a people’s language assets.
Preserve. Empower. Modernize. Those three words are the philosophy. This manifesto is the public consequence.
The goal is a structure that can run without any specific person being indispensable — including the founder, and including this company if a language lab outgrows the need to sit inside it.
That is what it means to build something that lasts.
