About OhRec

OhRec by Peacae is Peacae Recorder growing into the product we actually want — not a from-scratch replacement. The working recorder stays the foundation: simple local capture becomes a professional recorder, local-first video studio, editor, screenshots, and advanced recording tools without cloud lock-in. The philosophy is Record it. Keep it. OhRec should compete with modern cloud recorders on features and experience, not copy their business model: no account required, no cloud required, no subscription for basic use, no forced upload, no watermark, and no proprietary video lock-in. The user's video is simply their file. The workflow is Record → OhRec Studio → Edit → Export, with Studio growing into trim, split, crop, camera overlays, backgrounds, cursor effects, annotations, captions, audio tools, transcription, and smart editing — still local-first. OhRec Web (ohrec.peacae.com) and OhRec for Windows are the same product: open the site and record with nothing to install; the Windows edition adds native capture when it matters. recorder.peacae.com still points to ohrec.peacae.com.
